Noda Art Festival - NODAMODERN -
Information on the Exhibition, Special Screenings, and Talk Events
Dates: Friday, November 28, 2025 - Sunday, December 14, 2025
Venue: BUNDLE GALLERY, Kofukan, Former Nakamura Store, and other cultural facilities and historical buildings in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture
BUNDLESTUDIO Inc. (Representative: Masato Kawai) will hold the 'Noda Art Festival - NODAMODERN - ' from Friday, November 28 to Sunday, December 14, 2025, at BUNDLE GALLERY, Kofukan, the Former Nakamura Store, and other cultural facilities and repurposed historical buildings in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture.
The concept is 'An art festival to encounter Japanese creativity that transcends time.' Noda City, Chiba Prefecture, is a town nurtured by rich nature, the water transport of the Tone River, and a historical soy sauce culture.
Through art, architecture, and crafts, we aim to revisit the climate and wisdom of life that breathe in this town and connect them to the future at 'Noda Art Festival - NODAMODERN -'.
At this art festival, we will create and present works at cultural facilities, stores, and galleries in Noda City, providing experiences to capture landscapes, history, and culture from new perspectives.
We also aim for visitors and locals to rediscover the charm of Noda from new angles. In the future, we will actively incorporate collaboration with local children, seniors, and civic groups to expand as a 'participatory art festival', providing a place for interaction between citizens, artists, and visitors.
The main venue, BUNDLE GALLERY, is a space that repurposes a private residence designed in 1974 by Susumu Arai, who worked at Le Corbusier's atelier in the 1950s. Just as various landscapes exist in nature, this house creates an organic and modern beauty through changes in levels, skylights, and finish. On the premises is a Japanese-style main house built in the Edo period and relocated in the late Meiji era. It is a unique place where modernist architecture and traditional Japanese houses are connected by garden trees and flowers.
This time, we will hold an exhibition event co-hosted by wamono art and BUNDLE GALLERY using these two buildings. Based in Hong Kong, wamono art introduces Japanese contemporary artworks and is noted as an avant-garde gallery that opens up bold ideas of emerging artists.
In this exhibition, wamono art will showcase carefully selected works of bamboo art, ceramics, glass, paintings, and photographs alongside rare and excellent design objects for sale handled by BUNDLE GALLERY, presenting them in diverse arrangements in spaces such as the entrance, dining room, living room, study, and bedroom.
We hope that visitors will enjoy encounters unique to Noda, where architecture and nature, history, and modernity intersect, providing a fresh perspective. Please refer to the next page for details about the 'Noda Art Festival - NODAMODERN -'.
