Since 2022, a residence designed in the 1970s by architect Ren Suzuki's office has been restored and repurposed as a photo studio, while also serving as a venue for the exhibition and sale of furniture, lighting, and art.

Kamihana History Museum: Nationally Designated Scenic Spot, Takanashi Family Garden

This is the former residence of the Takanashi Heizaemon family, who served as the headmen of the old Kamihanawa village for generations and were also soy sauce brewers. Visitors can explore buildings from the Edo to early Showa period and learn about the lifestyle and culture of merchants engaged in soy sauce brewing. (Advance reservation is required for tours inside the residence.)

Noda City Museum

Noda City Museum

The Noda City Local Museum, which opened in 1959, was designed by Mamoru Yamada, the architect behind the Nippon Budokan and Kyoto Tower. It is the first registered museum in Chiba Prefecture, renowned nationwide for its unique collection rich in soy sauce-related artifacts. The Noda City Civic Hall is also located on the same premises.

Noda City Civic Center

Originally built in 1924 as the residence of Mr. Saheiji Motegi, a soy sauce brewer from Noda, this house served as an actual home until around 1955. In 1956, it was gifted to Noda City and is now utilized as a community hall. The Noda City Local History Museum can be found on the same premises.

Shimizu Park

One of Japan’s “Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots,” this scenic park offers seasonal beauty year-round. It also features field athletics, camping, and barbecue areas in a natural setting. (Reservation required) Designated as a cultural property by the national and prefectural governments.

Kikkoman International Food Culture Research Center

Kikkoman International Food Culture Research Center

Engaged in research activities centered on fermented seasonings, especially soy sauce. Visitors can view exhibits on the history of soy sauce development and company histories, as well as access books on food and culinary culture.

Noda City Central Elementary School

Noda City Central Elementary School

The school buildings 'Year 3 Building' and 'Year 7 Building' at Chuo Elementary School were constructed as part of the reconstruction efforts following the Great Kanto Earthquake by the then Tokyo City. They were modeled after the 'Reconstruction Elementary Schools' and were built in 1928 (Showa 3) and 1932 (Showa 7), respectively. These are reinforced concrete buildings that also house the Education History Museum. (Inquiry required)

Mogi Family Art Museum

A regional contribution art museum opened by the soy sauce brewer Mogi Hyouzaemon family. The collection includes approximately 4,300 pieces, featuring paintings by artists like Katsushika Hokusai. (Reservation required)

Official Soy Sauce Brewery (commonly known as Goyoso)

Official Soy Sauce Brewery (commonly known as Goyoso)

Built in 1939 (Showa 14) as a dedicated brewery for the Imperial Household Agency (then the Imperial Household Ministry) and relocated in 2011. It is still in operation today, with traditional brewing techniques and tools preserved and on display. (Reservation required)

Atago Shrine

Atago Shrine

The establishment dates back to 923 (Encho 1), and the main shrine was reportedly reconstructed in 1824 (Bunsei 7). The highlight is the magnificent carvings by the second-generation sculptor Tsunehachi Ishihara. It is designated as a tangible cultural property by the prefecture.

Kinoene Soy Sauce

In the first year of the Tenpō era (1830), the Yamashita Heibei family, known for their soy sauce brewing, established their business. The office, with its striking black wooden walls and latticed windows, was constructed in 1897 during the Meiji 30 era. (Only the shop is open for visits.)

Senshu Company Building (Former Noda Commercial and Industrial Bank)

Constructed in the 15th year of the Taisho era (1926) as the Noda Shoyu Bank. The name 'Shoyu' is attributed to the fact that most of the founding committee members were soy sauce brewers. (Only the exterior can be viewed)

Noda Children’s Park

Noda Children’s Park

Originally a property owned by the soy sauce brewer Moegi Sabei-ji, this children's park was opened to the public in 1926. The sculptures and ginkgo trees at the nearby Kinpoden headquarters are definitely worth seeing.

Shunpukan Dojo

Shunpukan Dojo

Originally used as the headquarters building for the Mogi Shichiroemon family shop, which was the predecessor of Noda Soy Sauce Co., Ltd. (now Kikkoman Corporation), this building opened as a martial arts hall called 'Shunpu-kan' in 1928. It has since been donated to the city, undergone renovations, and reopened in 2010 as 'Noda City Shunpu-kan Dojo.'

Former Noda Soy Sauce First Water Supply Facility

Originally constructed in 1921 by Noda Soy Sauce Company (now Kikkoman) for soy sauce production, this facility began supplying water in 1923, providing drinking water to local residents as well. It marks the first water supply facility in Chiba Prefecture and is recognized as a modern industrial heritage site.
